Minister Datuk Chang Lih Kang and Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chuan Meet with Ningxia Leadership for Exchange

During the visit to Ningxia and in conjunction with the 6th Belt and Road China–Malaysia Business Dialogue held on April 2, YB Chang Lih Kang, Vice President of the People’s Justice Party (PKR) and Minister of Science, Technology, and Innovation, alongside Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chuan, Chairman of the Malaysia–China Business Council (MCBC), met with Li Yifei, Secretary of the CPC Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People’s Congress of the Autonomous Region, and Zhang Yupu, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Provincial Committee and Chairman of the Autonomous Region, on April 1. Ma Hui, Vice Minister of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee (IDCPC), and Wang Li, leader of the Autonomous Region, also attended the meeting.

Li Yifei welcomed the delegation on behalf of the Party Committee and the Government of the Autonomous Region. He stated that Ningxia and Malaysia share clear complementary advantages. He expressed hope for both parties to further strengthen economic and trade ties as well as cultural exchanges, while deepening practical cooperation in sectors such as clean energy, modern agriculture, digital economy, and cultural tourism, to help usher in the next “Golden 50 Years” of Malaysia–China relations.

Chang Lih Kang spoke highly of Ningxia’s economic and social development achievements, noting that the beauty of Ningxia’s development is deeply impressive. He expressed Malaysia’s willingness to learn from Ningxia’s successful experience in poverty alleviation, green development, and ethnic unity. He further expressed hope for expanding cooperation in modern chemicals and specialized agriculture for mutual benefit, contributing further to the friendship between the two nations.
