Symposium on Promoting Exchanges on Governance and Advancing Common Development Between Malaysia and China

Hosted by the Malaysia Friends of Silk Road Club at InterContinental Kuala Lumpur, the symposium convened Members of Parliament, political representatives, think tanks, and academia to exchange views on governance and bilateral cooperation.

The event was graced by H.E. Ambassador Ouyang Yujing and YB Senator Dato’ Awang Bemee bin Awang Ali Basah. Representing MCBC, Director Dato’ Abdul Majid Ahmad Khan highlighted people-to-people connectivity as the foundation of the 50-year friendship, while Executive Director & Chief Executive Dato’ Tan Tian Meng underscored that sound governance drives commerce. He noted the strategic alignment between the 13th Malaysia Plan and China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, reaffirming MCBC’s commitment to bridging industry and government.
