The Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) has officially marked a momentous milestone in our journey to elevate bilateral trade, investment, and economic cooperation between Malaysia and China!

We Have Moved to Menara MATRADE!

We are thrilled to announce the official inauguration of our brand-new office: 📍 Level 8, West Wing, Menara MATRADE, Kuala Lumpur

Being located at the headquarters of the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) places MCBC right at the beating heart of Malaysia’s trade and investment ecosystem. This strategic move will foster much closer collaboration with key government agencies and business facilitation units.

 Key Highlights from the Board of Directors Meeting

Chaired by our Chairman, YB Senator Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chuan (appointed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia), the Board reviewed the incredible milestones achieved under the new leadership:

• Expanding Regional Horizons: Established the ASEAN-China-GCC Business Council, extending bilateral ties into a powerful trilateral economic framework.
• High-Level Dialogue: Successfully hosted the Malaysia-China High-Level Business Dialogue, providing a direct platform for the Prime Minister of Malaysia to engage with China’s top 120 industry leaders.
• Global Coordination: Played a pivotal role in coordinating Malaysian industry leaders for the historic State Banquet and Welcoming Dinner during President Xi Jinping’s Official State Visit to Malaysia.
• Bilateral Trade Missions: Led high-level trade and investment missions to China with ministers and senior officials to unlock new market access and joint ventures.

Driving the Future: 5 Dedicated Committees

To ensure deep, tangible outcomes across critical sectors, MCBC operates through five specialized committees:

1. ASEAN-China-GCC Business Council Initiative (Chaired by Dato’ Tan Tian Meng)
2. ECRL Corridor Development and Agricultural Investment (Chaired by Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Barry Goh Ming Choon)
3. Industry-Government Linkages and Policy Coordination (Chaired by Dato’ Abdul Majit Ahmad Khan)
4. SME Supply Chain Facilitation (Chaired by Mr. Jacob Lee Chor Kok)
5. Technology, Digital Economy & Innovation (Chaired by Dato’ Kuok Meng Xiong)
