2026 Belt and Road Trade and Investment Forum
On 23 June 2026, the Malaysia–China Business Council (MCBC) delegation attended the 2026 Belt and Road Trade and Investment Forum in Beijing, held under the theme “Creating the New Pattern for a Shared Future.” The Forum brought together government leaders, industry figures, and enterprises from Belt and Road partner countries to advance open, resilient, and connected supply chains.
During the event, MCBC Chairman YB Senator Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chuan delivered a keynote address, underscoring Malaysia’s vital role as a neutral and capable partner in regional trade and investment cooperation. Complementing this perspective, MCBC Director Mr. Teoh Kok Lin, who is also the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Singular Asset Management, participated as a panellist in the Forum’s strategic discussion. Sharing insights on the financing and facilitation of advanced technology supply chains, he highlighted Malaysia’s strengths in semiconductor and AI manufacturing, the depth of its capital markets, and MCBC’s pivotal role in directly connecting capital with manufacturing across the Belt and Road networks.
Through these comprehensive high-level engagements, MCBC continues to reinforce its role as a core bridge, linking Malaysian enterprises with expanding supply-chain and global production opportunities.
