ICDPASO Second General Assembly & High-Level Conference on Supply Chain Compliance and Dispute Prevention and Settlement

24 June 2026) On behalf of the Malaysia-China Business Council, Director Dato’ Quek Ngee Meng delivered an address at the Second General Assembly of ICDPASO and the High-Level Conference on Supply Chain Compliance and Dispute Prevention & Settlement, convened on the margins of the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) in Beijing. As a Council Member of ICDPASO—the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization chaired by Mr. Liu Jiannan—MCBC reaffirmed its commitment to advancing trusted, rules-based commerce across the region. Speaking to the theme “Trust Across Borders,” Dato’ Quek emphasised that effective dispute prevention rests not on better contracts alone but on building trust across differing legal traditions, business cultures and commercial expectations, and proposed a five-pillar multicultural dispute-prevention framework drawing on Malaysia’s own experience as a multi-ethnic society.
