The Sixth Belt and Road China-Malaysia Business Dialogue
The Sixth Belt and Road China-Malaysia Business Dialogue was successfully held today in Yinchuan, Ningxia, attended by a delegation led by Malaysia Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation YB Datuk Chang Lih Kang and Malaysia-China Business Council Chairman Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chuan. The dialogue was jointly hosted by the Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) and the China Economic Cooperation Center (CECC), which is affiliated to the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (IDCPC), and received support from the People’s Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, gathering political and business leaders, enterprise representatives, and institutional organizations from the two countries to jointly explore new opportunities for deepening economic and trade cooperation.
The meeting carried out exchanges around three key areas: trade and investment and scientific and technological innovation, modern agriculture, as well as cultural tourism.
YB Datuk Chang Lih Kang pointed out that Malaysia-China cooperation has moved towards multi-field coordinated development, and open cooperation and regional synergy are crucial for responding to the challenges of global supply chain and technological competition, while encouraging enterprises of both sides to carry out more investment and innovation cooperation.
Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chuan, expressed that the dialogue continues to play the role of a pragmatic platform, promoting enterprise docking and project landing, strengthening exchanges and cooperation between enterprises of Malaysia and Ningxia as well as various provinces of China, injecting new momentum into the industrial development of both sides, and promoting Malaysia-China relations to move towards higher quality development.
