MCBC Delegation Attends the 9th China-Eurasia Expo in Xinjiang (25–26 June 2026)

Led by MCBC Chairman YB Senator Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chuan, alongside Executive Director & Chief Executive Dato’ Tan Tian Meng, the Malaysia–China Business Council (MCBC) delegation participated in key engagements at the 9th China-Eurasia Expo in Urumqi, Xinjiang, from 25 to 26 June 2026.

Key highlights include:

Opening Ceremony & Pavilion Tour (25 June): The delegation attended the opening ceremony under the theme “New Opportunities of the Silk Road, New Vitality for Eurasian Cooperation,” and visited the Malaysia (MATRADE) Pavilion to showcase Malaysian products.

Keynote Address at “Invest in XPCC” Forum (25 June): Chairman YB Senator Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chuan delivered a keynote address highlighting complementary opportunities in modern agriculture, renewable energy, and logistics, inviting the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps (XPCC) to utilize Malaysia as their regional gateway into ASEAN.

Courtesy Meeting with CPC Xinjiang Committee Secretary Chen Xiaojiang (26 June): The delegation paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Chen Xiaojiang, Secretary of the CPC Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Committee. Mr He Zhongyou, Deputy Secretary of the Autonomous Region Committee and Political Commissar of the XPCC, also attended the meeting to discuss deepening economic, trade, investment, and tourism exchanges.
