Courtesy Meeting with the Securities Commission Malaysia

The Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) paid a courtesy call on the Securities Commission Malaysia (SC), led by MCBC Chaimas YB Senator Tan Sri Dato’ Low Kian Chuan and Executive Director & Chief Executive Dato’ Tan Tian Meng, where both parties explored avenues to collaborate in attracting more Chinese enterprises to explore and invent in the Malaysian capital market.

Discussions centred on encouraging Chinese enterprises – particularly those already listed in China and Hong Kong, and those with existing investments and operations in Malaysia – to pursue a secondary or dual listing on Bursa Malaysia, thereby deepening capital-market linkages between the two nations.

MCBC affirmed its commitment to support this initiative by working with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia and other Chinese companies to identity and engage suitable candidate companies for listing in Malaysia.
