Dato’ Tan Tian Meng has been a member of the Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) Board of Directors since 2025. He is an experienced entrepreneur and leader with over 37 years in construction, real estate, and infrastructure. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) from the University of Malaya and currently serves as Managing Director of Rentak Flora Sdn Bhd. He also sits as Independent Non-Executive Director of Bank of China (Malaysia) and Muda Holding Sdn Bhd, and participates in various government and industry councils.
Dato’ Tan has been active in ACCCIM for over 16 years, serving as Senior Advisor, Deputy Secretary-General, Secretary-General, and head of multiple government-industry committees. He also holds leadership roles in the National Chamber of Commerce (NCCIM) and the Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Chinese Chamber of Commerce (KLSCCCI), driving initiatives in investment promotion, Belt & Road, and construction and real estate development.

Dato’ Abdul Majit bin Ahmad Khan has been a member of the Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) Board of Directors since 2025. He is a distinguished former Malaysian diplomat who served in the Malaysian Diplomatic and Administrative Service for 34 years. He held senior appointments in the Prime Minister’s Department and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and represented Malaysia in multiple overseas missions.
During his diplomatic career, he was posted to the United States, Laos, Vietnam, China, and Nigeria, and was concurrently accredited to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). He served twice in China and was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Malaysia to the People’s Republic of China in 1999, a position he held until his retirement in January 2005. He also served as High Commissioner to Nigeria, with concurrent accreditation to Ghana, Sierra Leone and Côte d’Ivoire, and as Director General of the ASEAN Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Since retirement, Dato’ Majit has remained actively engaged in promoting Malaysia–China relations and people-to-people diplomacy. He currently serves as President of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association, Honorary Chairman of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce, Adjunct Professor at the Institute of China Studies, Universiti Malaya, and a member of university boards. His areas of expertise include China studies, Malaysian foreign policy, ASEAN cooperation, economic development, and geopolitics.

He has been serving MCBC through four chairmanships and is a businessman with diverse interests in property development and investment, construction, and solar & storage renewable energy.He holds executive directorship at listed company Yong Tai Bhd and independent directorship at MGB Bhd.
Dato Beh is active in Malaysia-China economic cooperation, he is a founding director of the Malaysia-China Two Countries Twin Parks, both China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park (CMQIP) and Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP). In the NGO sector, he chairs the Malaysia-Guangdong Chamber of Investment Promotion (MGCIP) and is the former chairman of the China-Asean Entrepreneur Association (CAMEA).

Dato’ Ir. Fong Tian Yong currently serves as Director of the Malaysia–China Business Council since 2018, having previously held the positions of Technical Advisor, Chief Executive Officer, and Executive Director. is an experienced Malaysian engineer, public administrator, and policy strategist with extensive involvement in infrastructure development, local government administration, and international economic cooperation. He also holds several key professional and advisory roles, including Permanent Chairman of the Investigation Committee of the Board of Engineers Malaysia, Editor of The Ingenieur, Member of the Panel of Experts of the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, Member of the Disciplinary Committee of the Bar Council Malaysia, and Development Advisor to the China–Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park.
A graduate of the University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Engineering, Dato’ Ir. Fong began his career in 1974 with the Public Works Department (JKR) and later served in senior leadership positions within the Ministry of Housing and Local Government, including 17 years as Deputy Director-General of the Local Government Department. He subsequently served as Technical Advisor to the Minister of Housing and Local Government and to Malaysia’s Special Envoy to the People’s Republic of China, contributing to policy development and strengthening Malaysia–China institutional and economic cooperation.

Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Barry Goh Ming Choon has been a member of the Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) Board of Directors since 2025. He is a highly accomplished entrepreneur and corporate leader with expertise across construction, property development, education, and investment-related industries. He is the founder of BGMC International Limited (BGMC), Kingsley EduGroup Limited (Kingsley), and B&G Capital Resources Berhad (BGCR), where he currently serves as Executive Chairman. He began his career with an Advanced Diploma in Electronic Engineering from Tunku Abdul Rahman College, Kuala Lumpur, and later obtained an Executive MBA from Tsinghua University in 2023.
Tan Sri Barry Goh founded BGCR in 1994 and BGMC Corporation Sdn Bhd in 1996, before co-founding Modular Construction Technologies (MCT) in 1999. Under his leadership, MCT evolved into a renowned property developer and was listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia in 2015, prior to his exit in 2019. He later led BGMC’s international expansion, culminating in its listing on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2017. Beyond business, he is an active philanthropist and serves in leadership and advisory roles, including Honorary President of ACCCIM and MCCC, and Founder and Honorary Life President of the Malaysia Tsinghua University Council.

Dato’ Quek Ngee Meng has been a member of the Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) Board of Directors from 2012 to 2020 and reappointed as director in 2025. He focuses on corporate and commercial matters, cross-border investments, as well as real estate and township development. He has extensive experience advising major developers, multinational corporations, and financial institutions, particularly on Malaysia–China bilateral investment and trade matters. He leads the team at Halim Hong & Quek in assisting Chinese and multinational enterprises in establishing and expanding their investments in Malaysia. In the financing and investment sphere, Dato’ Quek provides comprehensive legal advice on corporate, Islamic, and real estate financing, and offers strategic guidance on investment structuring and the review of cross-border agreements for Malaysia–China transactions. He also speaks frequently on Belt and Road–related topics and is widely trusted by both the public and private sectors.

Dato’ Omar has been a member of the Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) Board of Directors since 2025. He was appointed as the Non-Independent Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of HSBC Bank Malaysia Berhad on 31 March 2022. He was also appointed as Head of Banking on 1 February 2025.
Dato’ Omar graduated from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. He is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Prior to his appointment to HSBC Malaysia, Dato’ Omar was the Deputy CEO, Malaysia and CEO, Group Wholesale Banking at CIMB Group Holdings Berhad. Before that, he has held other senior leadership roles including Group Chief Operating Officer at CIMB Group Holdings Berhad, Head of Group Wholesale Banking at RHB Bank Berhad, Executive Director/Group Chief Financial Officer at Malaysia Airlines Berhad and Executive Director in the Investments Division at Khazanah Nasional Berhad.
Dato’ Omar is also a Non-Independent Executive Director of HSBC Amanah Malaysia Berhad and a member of the Board of Commissioners of PT Bank HSBC Indonesia.

Dato’ Kuok Meng Xiong has been a member of the Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) Board of Directors since 2025. He serves as the Managing Director of Kuok Brothers Sdn Bhd in Malaysia and the Alternate Director to the Chairman of Kuok Singapore Ltd. With operations across six continents and strong roots in ASEAN, the Kuok Group advances regional connectivity, food security, sustainable development, and cooperation between Malaysia, Singapore, China, and the broader region through companies such as Wilmar International, Kuok Foundation, Shangri La Hotels Malaysia, Perlis Plantation, FFM Berhad, and Golden Screen Cinemas. Meng Xiong is also the Founder of K3 Ventures, a Singapore-based venture capital firm investing in leading technology and innovation driven companies, including Grab, ByteDance, and Palantir. Previously, Meng Xiong served as the Executive Director of Development at Shangri La Group, leading the development of multiple integrated hotel projects in China and emerging markets, serving as the Owner’s Representative and Managing Director of 38 Shangri-La Hotels in China and Southeast Asia. In addition to his role within the Malaysia China Business Council, he serves on the boards of Tuya and the Anglo Chinese Schools Foundation. He holds an FAA Commercial Pilot license and a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.

Dato’ Lim Bee Vian has been a member of the Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) Board of Directors since 2025. She brings with her 33 years of experience of advising corporates and investors in strategies, policies and value proposition in investing in Malaysia. She holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from Universiti Utara Malaysia. She began her career at the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) in 1991 as an Economic Affairs Officer. Throughout her tenure with MIDA, she was instrumental in setting up the services wing and several new divisions within MIDA, namely, the Industry Talent Management Division, the Incentive Coordination and Collaboration Office, and the Digital Investment Office. She also spearheaded the development of i-incentives and i-services portals to facilitate information sharing and business matching. Prior to her retirement from MIDA as the Deputy CEO (Investment Development) in July 2024, she oversaw the entire project evaluation team consisting of 11 industries and services divisions.
She is currently the Non-Executive Chairman of iCENTS Group Berhad, an Independent Non-Executive Director of PMB Technology Berhad and SAM Engineering & Equipment (M) Berhad, being companies listed on Bursa Malaysia. She is also a Non-Executive Director of Technology Depository Agency Berhad and a member of the Business Development, Collaboration & Internationalisation Advisory Committee of Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management & Technology.

His strategic vision and leadership have been instrumental in driving growth and resilience within the aviation sector. Positioning AirAsia X as a key player in short, medium and/or long-haul, low-cost travel across the region.
He also serves as a Senior Independent Director of Capital A Berhad (formerly known as AirAsia Group). Dato’ Fam is a highly respected Legal Professional and the Senior Partner at Messrs Gan & Zul, Advocates & Solicitors, with more than three decades of experience in legal practice.

Currently, Datuk Philip serves as an Advisory Board Member of the Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK). As President of the Sabah Maritime Silk Road Society, he focuses on fostering connectivity under the “One Belt, One Road” initiative. With a humble and pragmatic approach, he leverages his multifaceted background to align technical rigor with global commercial opportunities, contributing to the sustainable growth of the community.

He is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Singular Asset Management, a licensed fund management firm in Malaysia and Singapore. With over 35 years of experience in investment banking and fund management, his career includes senior roles at global institutions such as ING Barings, HSBC Research, and UOB Kay Hian.
A respected figure in Malaysia’s financial governance, Kok Lin serves as a Director of the Institute for Capital Market Research (ICMR), an affiliate of the Securities Commission Malaysia, and was formerly a Director of the Credit Guarantee Corporation (CGC), a subsidiary of Bank Negara Malaysia. His leadership is further reflected through his roles as a General Council Member of the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) and as a Senior Advisor to the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM).
A frequent traveller to China, Kok Lin maintains deep-rooted connections with regional business leaders and an on-the-ground understanding of the Chinese market. His expertise in Asian capital markets allows him to serve as a vital bridge in the Malaysia-China corridor, fostering integrity and identifying cross-border opportunities to strengthen bilateral trade and investment.

Mr. Jacob Lee Chor Kok has been a member of the Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) Board of Directors since 2025. He is the President of the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturing (FMM) and Founder of ASLI Mechanical Sdn Bhd, a leading Malaysian manufacturer of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) components. With over 30 years of experience in the HVAC and construction-related industries, he has also established multiple companies in Malaysia and Singapore, including ventures in steel fabrication, IoT-integrated HVAC systems, and architectural sunshades. His industry expertise has earned him an Adjunct Professorship at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), where he contributes to academic–industry collaboration.
A long-serving leader within FMM, Jacob has held various national and regional roles including Deputy President, Vice President, Council Member, and Chairman of the Selangor & KL Branch, actively shaping industrial policy, trade, standards, and innovation agendas. Beyond industry, he serves on the boards of the Malaysia Productivity Corporation, Malaysian Standards and Accreditation Council, and National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM), and served as the former Chairman of the Malaysia-Taiwan Economic Cooperation Committee Business Advisory Group (MTECC BAG). His humanitarian contributions are equally significant, notably as Chairman of World Vision Malaysia and Founder of Methodist Crisis Relief & Development (MCRD), leading numerous disaster relief and poverty alleviation missions across Asia.
